Visited Cafe 1807 yesterday and we tried both their Special Burger and Scot Burger – a delicious, indulgent experience from start to finish! Special Burger: This burger is a showstopper! Served in a soft, golden pretzel bun, the towering stack included a juicy beef patty with melted cheese, fresh tomato, and an epic beer-battered onion ring that added perfect crunch and flavor. It came with sweet potato fries that were crisp on the outside and soft inside – a great pairing. The side of coleslaw and mixed salad was fresh and creamy, balancing out the rich burger beautifully. Scot Burger: Also served in a pretzel bun, the Scot Burger featured a dense, flavorful black pudding patty layered over cheese and fresh greens. It was unique, hearty, and satisfying – a bold twist on the traditional burger that really celebrates local Scottish ingredients. The meal came with classic fries, crisp salad, and creamy coleslaw – all well-portioned and tasty. Setting & Service: We dined outdoors on a sunny evening with drinks (including a pint of Staropramen). The staff were attentive and friendly, and the presentation of each plate was clean and appealing. Verdict: Cafe 1807 delivers on both flavor and atmosphere. The Special Burger is perfect for those wanting something bold and crunchy, while the Scot Burger is ideal for fans of traditional Scottish flavors. Highly recommend both!

Booked for 23 people for a friends birthday lunch. Had a section to ourselves with staff who were so welcoming, very friendly and very helpful! The food was great and atmosphere felt private for our celebrations. Service throughout from staff was superb! Highly recommend

Very nice cafe / restaurant in Linlithgow High Street. Staff polite, super friendly and attentive, made good conversation and showed a genuine interest in their customers. Food for me was a solid 8.5 with the steak pie. Didn’t specify what chips and was given thin fries instead of mash. Chunky chips a personal preference and better match for steak pie but I will say it’s the first time in a while the steak pie was not just pastry on top but a full pie. Presented lovely. Tastes excellent. Partner loved the butternut soup, although didn’t find the same love for the wrap. Atmosphere very nice. Pricing in line with a tourist town but a little higher than your average but the staff and atmosphere does make the difference. Solid 8.5 / 10 Would done again.

We dropped by for an early dinner and ordered the delicious sirloin and ribeye steaks. The friendly server recommended the giant chantilly meringue, which didn’t disappoint as well. We got the half instead of the full, but figured we might have been able to finish a full because it was so delicious. Loved the warm and cosy atmosphere and the friendly staff. Would definitely return if we visit Linlithgow again!

Came for food today with friends. Food was absolutely gorgeous. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Had a slight issue with a dessert which was resolved straight away. Member of management came over after to explain and apologise which was a lovely customer service touch as we hadn't complained or anything just pointed out the issue. Great value for money the meat in everything was amazing quality. Will definitely be back

Had a FANTASTIC meal here yesterday evening, everything was so delicious I couldn’t help but finish every little bit on my plates! I went for the BBQ Burger with sweet potato fries, the meringue for dessert, and I was impressed with the very wide variety of drinks available. Was served by the lovely Kirsty who was super friendly and nothing was too much to ask. They also have homemade baked treats available for takeaway(or sit-in), which were just as tasty! Prices are very reasonable and a nice cosy atmosphere, the next time I’m in Linlithgow I’ll definitely return, would highly recommend!

The food and service on the Cafebar was amazing. The staff provided an exceptional service and delicious food for a group of 16 people on a fieltrip visit for a group of MSc students. Everyone got drinks and food in no time adjusting to a wide diversity of international palates, all delicious. The staff was really attentive and kind, always attentive if anyone needed some drinks or anything else. We had the best time and we are really grateful for the experience

Great spot for casual dining on a Sunday evening. Large variety on the menu. We had someone in our party of six with dietary restrictions and they were not encumbered. Tasty food with good portions. Meringue was a delightful surprise.
